Kitab Al Hikam is a book of Sufism by Sheikh Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Atha'illah as-Sakandari (Ibn Athaillah as-Sakandari). Al-Hikam book contains wisdom, understanding of monotheism, morality, and ma'rifatullah. Kitab al-Hikam is the main work of Ibn Atha'illah, which is very popular in the Islamic world for centuries, until today. Sheikh ibn Atha'illah presented the book al-hikam with the main support on the al-quran and as-sunnah.
The Book of Hikam is the main work of Ibn 'Atha'illah, which contains words of wisdom of very high value. both regarding the understanding of monotheism, morality, and ma'rifatullah, Sheikh ibn u 'atha'illah as-sakandari (d. 1309 m). Ibn 'Athaillah, the author of the syarah Kitab al Hikam, is classified as a productive scholar. no less than 20 works ever produced. The work covers the fields of Sufism, Tafseer, faith, hadith, nahwu, and ushul fiqh. Of some of his works, the most famous is the Kitab al-Hikam which is touted as his magnum opus.
al-hikam is a book intended for travelers (salik), which contains further guidance for every traveler to take a spiritual journey. Al-Hikam contains various strict Suluk terminology, which refers to various terms in the Qur'an.
